One of it's core principles is that our body has a knowingness that speaks to us about what brings us towards wholeness and satisfaction and what binds us to struggle and pain. Therapeutic and somatic movement approaches to wellness guide us to better understand the mind body connection and can help us to more easily, creatively and effectively resolve life challenges and body tensions. In this retreat, we will journey through our personal relationship with cancer to discover how movement can help us experience healing, in addition to understand how cancer has affected us physically, mentally and/or emotionally. This workshop will combine gentle and restorative yoga, visualization, deep breathing and relaxation techniques, in addition to journaling and verbal sharing with other workshop participants. It will also include an element of fun and play with movement. This retreat is for adults who have been diagnosed with cancer, whether currently in treatment/recovery or who have been in remission or cancer free for any length of time.
